Get in touch

Since 2004, Mr. Dorman has represented thousands of folks have their speeding ticket reduced and protected their driving record. In most cases, I can appear for you in court without you having to appear. I will have your ticket reduced the maximum amount possible under the circumstances and guide you through paying your court costs. I am a proud honors graduate of Winston Salem State University and the North Carolina Central University School of Law. Mr. Dorman has strong roots in and dedication to North Carolina drivers.

How much do I charge?

For North Carolina speeding tickets in traffic court, Mr. Dorman charges a flat fee of $150 as an attorney's fee. Court costs and fines vary and you will pay those directly to the Clerk of Court. For additional charges or higher speeds in excess of 90 mph, fees can range from $300 to $750 depending on the severity of the charges.

Hiring an attorney can prevent suspension of your license for the following speeding charges and prevent license points:

Speeding in excess of 80 mph;

Speeding more than 15 mph in a 55 mph zone;

Speeding more than 10 mph over the limit in a 70 mph zone;

Speeding more than 75 mph in less than a 70 mph zone.

Speeding Tickets, Traffic Tickets, Criminal Charges, Legal Research and Opinions

As a solo practitioner, I select and accept a limited number of cases each year so that I can focus on the best outcome possible. You will deal directly with me and not a receptionist or some AI generated chatbot. I'm not flashy or running a large law firm, I just get stuff done. Whether you are in Davie, Davidson, Forsyth, Stokes, Surry or Yadkin County in North Carolina or if you are out of state, contact me today to talk about how you can have your traffic ticket or speeding ticket reduced.

CRIMINAL CASES

I handle a very limited number of criminal cases each year. If you or a family member have been charged with a misdemeanor or felony, contact me for a free consultation to see how we can manage the situation.

*Mr. Dorman does not handle federal cases or any matter that in any way involves the federal government.*

Many people will receive a speeding ticket or other traffic ticket at some point in their lives. If you hire me to handle your ticket, I will appear for you in traffic court via a waiver. A waiver is a document that lets the court know I represent you and waives your right to appear and allows me to accept a reduction in your charge. If I can get your ticket reduced to better outcome than what was charged, I will accept the reduction and then you will pay the court costs and fines before a deadline set by the court. It's that simple. No taking off work, no standing in line for hours, no anxiety over negotiating a deal. I cannot guarantee any particular outcome but I can guarantee to professionally and responsibly represent you at all times and to be straight with you about the possible outcome. If I don't believe that I can get a reduction, I generally don't take the case.

What If I Just Pay Off My Ticket or Plead Guilty?

In North Carolina, speeding tickets can result in fines, points on your driver's license, and even license suspension or revocation. The consequences of paying off a speeding ticket can vary depending on the severity of the offense and your driving record. It's important to understand the potential consequences and consider consulting with a traffic attorney before making any decisions. Pleading guilty to criminal charges can stay with you for the rest of your life. It can keep you from getting a job, a promotion, approved for certain types of property or benefits.
